MBT flies into the USA Science and Engineering Festival

The USA Science and Engineering Festival took place in Washington D.C. on April 16-17. The MBT project, along with the Alaska EPSCoR Augmented Reality Sandbox, were lucky enough to hold a space in the exhibit hall of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Over 350,000 people streamed through the hall during the two-day (plus a sneak-peek third day) convention. Dr. John Monahan and Adam Low represented the Modern Blanket Toss, and were provided ample opportunities to meet and engage with youth and others around the ideas of science and working with UAV's in the classroom.

The experience was incredible! This was the largest room that I had ever been in. It seemed as if every science-related organization was there with a mission to excite kids about the importance of STEM. We met individuals from a variety of organizations interested in our MBT project.
